The Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI), the world’s richest and most powerful cricket body, has announced financial assistance of Rs 51 crore to Prime Minister’s relief fund to fight the coronavirus.

Earlier Akshay Kumar donated 25 crores to PM relief fund while Suresh Raina donated 52 lacks, 31 lacks to PM’s relief fund and 21 to UP’s relief fund.

Many Bollywood and South movie stars have announced financial assistance to fight the coronavirus. Some of the south actors that have donated include Prabhas, Pawan Kalyan, Chiranjeevi, Rajni Kant.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on twitter wrote “The PM-CARES Fund accepts micro-donations too. It will strengthen disaster management capacities and encourage research on protecting citizens. Let us leave no stone unturned to make India healthier and more prosperous for our future generations”.
