Staff Selection Commission has released a notice regarding the postponement of CHSL 2018 skill test. Previously the exam was scheduled from April 4. However seeing the prevalent situation in the country due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the commission has delayed the skill test. The new date of the skill test is not revealed by the commission and it is expected that the new date of skill test will be announced soon.
SSC in the CHSL notice said “As a precautionary measure due to Corona Virus (COVID 19) it has been decided by the Staff Selection Commission (NR) to postpone its Skill Test of Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination, 2018 scheduled from 04.04.2020. New dates of Skill Test shall be intimated subsequently”.
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an Indian organization to recruit staff for various posts in the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India and in Subordinate Offices. Based on the cut off fixed in Paper-I and qualifying marks in Paper-II by the Commission, a total of1741 candidates have qualified (provisionally) for Skill Test for the post of DEO in C&AG, 37 candidates have qualified (provisionally) for Data Entry Skill Test for the post of DEO in Departments other than C&AG, and 30822 have qualified (provisionally) for Typing Test for the posts of Lower Division Clerk (LDC) / Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) and Postal Assistant (PA)/ Sorting Assistant (SA).
Earlier the commission released a notice regarding the postponement of CPO 2018 medical exam which was scheduled from 23rd March.
“As a preventive measure being taken to contain the spread of COVID 19 by the Nodal Force, i.e. BSF, New Delhi, the Detailed Medical Examination of candidates of Northern Region in respect of Sub Inspectors in CAPFs Examination, 2018 scheduled from 23.3.2020 onwards stands postponed, and the new dates of DME shall be intimated subsequently”, SSC said in the CPO notice.
